Based on feedback we received during the Public Exhibition period, we determined that no changes needed to be made to the draft Strategy. As a result, the Active Transport Strategy has been adopted by Council.
Thank you to everyone who provided their feedback! You are helping us create a more vibrant, active and connected community.

About the Project
Council has worked with consultants Turnbull Engineering to develop an Active Transport Strategy.
Active transport is all about enabling our community to move throughout the city by bike and foot by providing better links for these transportation modes.
The Strategy is a long-term plan that sets the vision, objectives, and priorities for investment in active transport infrastructure around Shellharbour. It helps set the standard for when we are working on:
- Footpaths
- Cyclepaths
- Crossing facilities
- Signage and path markings
- Safe bicycle parking
