Travel Safe Tradies is back!

16 October 2025

We’re back with another round of Travel Safe Tradies, because keeping our local tradies safe on the road matters!

Last year, heaps of you jumped on board to share your thoughts and the message was loud and clear. Speeding and tailgating are real concerns out there. This time, we’re focusing on tailgating and why keeping your distance is one of the easiest ways to stay safe.

In 2024, we launched Travel Safe Tradies to get a better picture of how tradies drive and how they can stay safer. The results showed:

  • Speeding continues to be a top concern
  • Tailgating is not just annoying - it’s dangerous and yes, other drivers notice when Utes get a little too close for comfort!

So, we’re back to keep the conversation going and help make our roads safer for everyone.

Come chat to us in person

We’re firing up the BBQ to kick things off:
  • Thursday 23 October 2025
  • 7am – 9am
  • Shellharbour Bunnings

Come down, grab some brekky, have a yarn, and learn more about keeping safe on the road.

Don't stress if you can't join us at Bunnings this campaign runs from Monday 20 October to Friday 21 November 2025.

What are we doing with the data?

The feedback helps us understand tradies’ driving habits and improve future campaigns. It also helps us secure funding for more road safety initiatives.

Let’s keep Shellharbour’s roads safe. One Ute at a time.
