The new seawall has progressed northwards along the beach and is gaining pace after the initial quality-checking phase.

Like the existing wall, the new seawall is being constructed with large rocks. However, the rocks are individually placed to interlock with one another. This means that there will be fewer gaps between the rocks

The completed sections of the new Seawall will have a sand topping that will support ground-covering dune plants.
