🚧 Update on Warilla Beach Seawall Renewal Milestone 🚧

We are excited to announce a significant milestone in the Warilla Beach Seawall renewal project, marked by the completion of the new Bucknell St beach ramp (see picture). This new ramp has been extended further into the beach to account for potential sand erosion during storm events.

Construction is underway for the adjacent steps, as well as the new Leggett Park steps located further north. Once these steps are finished, beach access will be available while the seawall construction continues.

To combat erosion, low-height dune plants have been strategically placed above the newly constructed seawall at the southern end. These plants serve to stabilize the sand. Additionally, the timber edging will be neatly lined with new turf, enhancing the overall appearance of the area.

As the seawall construction moves northward, it will maintain a consistent appearance with the already completed sections, and its pace will accelerate as it progresses beyond the new steps.
