About the Boatyard:

The Boatyard will be a significant addition to the Waterfront precinct, offering not just a marine maintenance facility but also creating possibilities for retail and tourism.

Features of this new site will include:

  • Dry boat storage for vessels up to 10m, holding a minimum of 120 boats within a large enclosed shed
  • Boat haul-out facilities & jet washing
  • Chandlery spaces
  • Café
  • Office and retail spaces
  • Public use carpark

Once completed the project will create employment opportunities and provide a full suite of boat maintenance and storage opportunities, helping connect commercial and recreational boating opportunities between Sydney and the NSW South Coast

    Development of concept plans

    Council and Frasers Property Australia (Frasers) have worked together with architects Nettleton Tribe Architects to develop concept plans that are responsive to people and place.

    Planning and approval

    Project developers (Council and Frasers) have submitted the development application.

    As part of the application and approval process, the building plans and proposal have been placed on public exhibition.
