Bateman Park, Albion Park

Bateman Park Playground Albion Park Rail (Bateman Avenue) is a 'local' park located in a suburban area to the east of Albion Park Rail. This playground has been used by local families and those who are within walking distance of the park.

The current playground will be renewed and Council wants to hear from the community what the space might look like. Take the time to provide feedback and help us create a space for everyone to enjoy.

In April 2024 Shellharbour City Council visited primary schools in the area to ask students what they want to see in local parks and playgrounds. Council staff ran a workshop on play with students from Stage 2 (Years 3 and 4).

For Bateman Park, we asked 45 year 4 students from Albion Park Rail Primary School to share their feedback on what should be included. Most students told us they want adventurous play-based equipment at their local parks.
