This new play space, designed with input from Mount Warrigal Primary School students, includes a highly requested flying fox.

About the new play space
The project’s design is based on feedback received during community consultation and school visits and aims to create a space where the local neighbourhood can come to play, meet with friends or relax.
We've added a picnic shelter and shade sail, and we've planted native trees that'll offer natural shade as they grow. 🌳
Elements of the playground will include:
- Flying Fox
- Climbing Tower & Slippery Dip
- Premium swing double bay (nest & toddler)
- Picnic Shelter & Shade Sail
- Footpath connectivity
- Native trees & shrubs for natural shade
- A mix of informal and formal seating & water station

About the location
Jones park is a local park located on Jones avenue in Mount Warrigal. The space caters for a range of uses and is a popular location for visitors, residents and students passing by from Mount Warrigal Primary School.
The current playground will be renewed and the park upgraded to a space where the community can play, meet with friends and enjoy a family friendly outdoor space.
