  • Variety of swings; nest swing, strap and toddler seat

The playful farm theme has been adapted from the history of McDonald Park.

McDonald Park was named after Dick McDonald who owned and farmed the land the park is on today. Dick's brother was Jack McDonald, Chairman of the Illawarra Cooperative Central Dairy Factory, and his father was Samuel McDonald who farmed at Bellmont, Croom. About the location

McDonald Park is located on Tongarra Road, Albion Park Rail. The space has a large open space within a developing sport and play precinct. The Park provides a wide range of recreation from organised sport to more informal recreation and play.

Existing facilities include; netball courts, tennis courts, footpath, car parking and public toilets. The public toilets will soon be upgraded to include an accessible public toilet block and incorporate a public art element in the privacy screening.

About the Master Plan

The Master Plan (the Plan) was adopted by Council in 2019. The Plan provides a framework for the future development of the park in order to incorporate the play space, as well as improved facilities, including a new accessible toilet block, development of a sport precinct and an overall higher quality of landscape amenity.
