The AHIP process was started after the appointment of Austral Archaeology in December 2020. To date, Austral Archaeology have completed Stages 1- 4 of an Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Assessment (ACHA). With the recent completion of the ACHA, Council has included in the AHIP application a request for approval “to test” on all three sites with the NSW Office of Environment and Heritage (OEH). The AHIP application has been submitted and will undergo a minimum 60 day assessment period before determination.
