About the project

While shade sails aren’t essential for every playspace as they can impact sunlight, maintenance and costs, Council recognises their importance in providing comfort and sun protection at popular (district) parks and playgrounds.

Following community feedback, we’re excited to announce that new shade sails will be installed at two of our district parks:

• Little Park, Shellharbour
• McDonald Park, Albion Park Rail

This initiative aims to make our play spaces more comfortable and enjoyable for families year-round.
